Human is a 2015 documentary by French environmentalist Yann Arthur -Bertnard. It is produced over a period of three years , interviewing more than 2000 people in 60 countries for only understanding and finding answer to this question:

What makes us human?

While watching this documentary one of the thing is obvious that even we seem so different we are so alike. Living in North Pole or in Sahara Dessert doesn’t mean anything if we are taking ourselves to place where we go because we all come from same life source. In the end everything turns to our humanity and what we have as a whole.

The other amazing and interesting thing is how there is a lot of people in the world and every single person is this much valuable. Normally when we look around if there is much from something in economy it’s value is cheapest but when it comes to human there is big difference. What we have and what we can have, the potential inside of us is mysterious.

Why #humanfirst ?

While listening interviews people without ideologies can understand each other personally. Because human understands human. And if we can be aware of this there is no need to go further than argument. Killing and wars are big things but if we can look to that beautiful human who is part of this war, we will understand the futility of fighting.

A good saying tolds that :

If you make the human bigger,

The universe becomes.

If you make the universe smaller,

It becomes human…

So we have everything what our human fellow has inside of himself. There is no way we can kill someone normally if we understand ourselves.

Some of the stories and interviews from this documentary:

When asked meaning of life to a man he answers:

The meaning of life… Sometimes I think of a phrase I heard as a boy from a friend who said:

“Life is like carrying message from the child you were to the old man you will be. You have to make sure that this message isn’t last along the way. I often think of that because when I was little I used to imagine fine things to dream of a world without beggars in which everyone was happy. Simple, subtle things. But you lose those things over the course of life. And you stop seeing the beggar. You stop caring. Where is the message of the child I once was? Maybe the meaning of life is making sure that this message doesn’t dissappear”

When someone asked about family he replies :

The magic moment that I had with my grandfather was right after my grandmother died. I went to go see him. I knew that he was hurting but I wasn’t sure what kind of state he would be in and she was his partner 65 years as well as his driver.

I said: “Grandpa how are you doing?”

He said: “Did you know that for 4 dollars I can get a shuttle anywhere in the city?”

I said: “Wow, that’s great, Grandpa.”

He said: “ Well, I went to grocery store. I went to the woman behind the counter and said: I have this list of things. Could you help me find them? My wife has recently changed her residence to heaven.

And I said: “Grandpa, man you always help me see the glass as half full” and he lean back looked me in the eyes and he said:

It is beautiful glass

When asked about consumption to elder man he replied:

When I buy something or when you buy we are not paying with money. We’re paying with the time from our lives we had to spend to earn that money. The difference is that you cannot buy life. Life just goes by. And it’s terrible to waste your life losing your freedom.

Response about after death:

I am not afraid of dying. I don’t know if God exist or not but I choose to believe. And when I look at the universe I hope there is a place where our spirits can go and where we’ll recognize each other. And as well as my parents I would really love to meet again my best friend Shaunie who died when he was 21. And I’d love to spend time with them hitch-hiking through heaven as we used to do as youths here on Earth. I also would love to meet the many good people throughout the generations who tried to make a better world and who tried to work for a world of justice and peace. For me that’s what’s most important. And indeed when we look at the great religions, philosophies and ideologies and when we try to simplify the complex dogmas and theologies, it all comes down to love. So I hope my spirit is taken up in a great ballet and a great cosmic dance of love where there’s no more suffering and no more sorrow. Where we can no longer hurt or be hurt. And where we can truly celebrate the great gift of consciousness, the great gift of being, the great gift of life. And if, in the end there is no God I am still thankful for the gift of life. I’ve often thought the last two words I would like to utter just before I die are : THANK YOU. Thank you for the gift of life.

This documentary is one of the best example for a positive and constructive way to use global media to reach hearts and change mindsets. We are all connected, and though we spend our days looking toward the stars for answers we will find that the answers have been within us the whole time. Emphaty is the highest form of human knowledge. When we can see ourselves in the eyes of another, the world changes…

O day, arise!

The atoms are dancing .

Thanks to Him the universe is dancing.

The souls are dancing, overcome with ecstasy.

I"ll whisper in your ear where their dance is taking them.

All the atoms in the air and in the dessert know well, they seem insane.

Every single atom, happy or miserable, becomes enamoured of the sun,of which nothing can be said.

Even the stars they burn, some even fall to the Earth. We've got a lot to learn. God knows we're worth it. No I won't give up💫💫
